Project Two

Panel One

Panel One has hands down the most difficult for me and the one I spent most time on. Not only was I making all the content here, I was trying to sort out the custom CSS and figure out how to make everything look good on both mobile and desktop. The most annoying bit, however, was trying to format every column so they were in the size and position I wanted. Even so, I had a lot of fun with this bit! After all, it gave me an excuse to talk about my characters and it was fun to think about how an actual cult would use a website to spread their message. It was also satisfying to mess with Popper and hide a message using it. Overall, this panel was fun, but tricky.

Panel Two

This panel was the simplest, since it was just me moving the content from Panel One over to this one. The challenge came in trying to align my content with the theme. While I made Panel One with the theme I chose in mind, there were still some bits that didn't align perfectly, partially because I had... QUITE a lot of sections in Panel One. I followed the structure of the theme to the best of my ability, but the Members and Enemies section relied a lot more on my initial formatting, though I tweaked it so that the breakpoints were large so they fit with the rest of the page. I absolutely adore how the title looks though! I was worried I wouldn't be able to add that image without tweaking the CSS or that it wouldn't look right, but I think it gives a very cool effect!

Panel Three

I feel like Panel Three was a good balance between the work in the previous panels. My biggest challenge was figuring out what classes I needed to target in order to make the changes I wanted to. While it was frustrating at times, it was also weirdly satisfying to pick out what should be targeted and it was incredibly rewarding when things finally started working. I also had a lot of fun picking the colors for this panel! Coolors has a feature where you can submit an image and it will generate a color palette based on it. Using my header image, I got a really cool mix of blues, purples, and pinks that complimented each other very well. It honestly makes me want to use that color scheme again one day!
